Can I preview a Message before sending
Solution
With
SM2 Email Marketing
you can preview the message in 2 ways.
If you are in the
Message Manager
you can select the checkbox for the Message and select the
Preview
Button from the Toolbar.
If you are in the
Edit Message
page then you can select the
Preview
button from the Toolbar.
Note:
If you preview when editing the Message will be
Saved
before it is previewed.
What does the Preview show?
The Preview shows 3 tabs:
HTML Message
This is a Preview of the Message in HTML format as it would appear when sent to a user.
Note:
Some tags such as [NAME] and [UNSUBSCRIBE] are not replaced in the preview.
Text Message
This is a Preview of the Message in Text format as it would appear when sent to a user.
Recipients
This is a list of all of the Names and Email addresses that would recieve this message based on the
Plugin Filters
selected.
You can also enter a Name and Email Address and have a copy of the message sent as a test.
It is possible to enter multiple email addresses seperated by a comma ( , ).
You also have the option to send as HTML.
If you send the test as HTML a text version is also sent along as part of the Message so that email clients that are unable or unwilling to render the message as HTML can still see the message as the desired Text version.
Note:
As of version 1.0.8.0 the
Send
button has been moved from the
Edit
form to the
Preview
form. This means you must Preview the message before you can send it.
